Account Types
TRIV Platform™ – Account Types:
The TRIV Platform™ supports a wide array of Account Types and can provide multiple payment instruments and settlement tools for all the participating entities in a transaction lifecycle.
Account Types are basically gathered into three groups:
- Stored Value Account (SVA) – An internal Pre-paid Account managed and issued by the TRIV Platform™. Acts as the basis for Balance Distribution Networks and Cash-to-Balance / Balance-to-Cash products.
Used mainly for Micro and Macro-payments and as a Pre-paid Commerce Instrument for Gambling, Adult content, Parking, Vending, CD, Books, etc.
A TRIV Platform™ SVA is EU Money Directive compliant.
- Billing-on-Behalf (BoB) – Refers to the use of an operator Pre/Post-paid account as a payment instrument.
Used mainly for micro-payments, charging purchases to the operator Pre/Post-paid Bills, Digital Content and Value Added Services.
- eWallet – Refers to the use of an external means of payment such as: Credit/Debit Cards, Direct Debit from a Bank Account and more.
Used mainly to store Credit Card and Bank Account details for customers, to purchase tangible goods and expensive digital content (software).
The actual funds are handled by financial institutes.

Account Types supported by the TRIV Platform™:

Stored Value Account (SVA):

- An in-system prepaid account, capable of holding balance of any commodity (e.g. representation of funds or airtime).
- Serves as the basis for a Balance Distribution Network.
- May serve as a cash replacement in developing economies.

Pre / Post paid Account:
|
- Integrates with any operator billing system.
- Used for purchases as a source account for Billing-on-Behalf (BoB) transactions.
- Used as a destination account for Topup.

Credit / Debit / Prepaid Card:
|
- Supports multiple bank-card accounts.
|
|
Bank Account:
|
- Supports direct debit transactions and in-system settlement.
